It is no secret that we are all currently stuck at home with our significant others. While, this extra time may be nice, you may also be dreaming of things returning to normal and getting to go on a date with your honey. Why not have a date night at home? I have 8 at home date night ideas for you that are totally doable during this pandemic. These are a fun way to try to connect with your love while being stuck at home. Maybe every week or every 2 weeks you could pick one of these fun at home date to try!

Cook a Meal Together at Home.

This is a fun and easy one to do together. Stuck in the house, but really wanting to have a date night? Try cooking a meal together. You could look up a new recipe and the next time you Instacart your groceries be sure to add in the ingredients for this date night meal. Pour a little wine, turn on some music and just enjoy each other’s company while you prepare a meal together. And of course when the meal is cooked you can sit down and enjoy your yummy food together. If you want to really make it feel like a date night you could also get a little dressed up for the occasion. While you can’t go out to your favorite restaurant, you can do this date night at home.

Game Night

This is for the competitive couples out there and those who love games! Dust off those games you have hiding in the closet and have a fun little game night. You could even make your favorite cocktails and snacks up level up this date night in.

Order Curbside

This date night kind of goes with the cooking a meal at home, but instead there’s no clean up afterwards! A lot of restaurants are still offering curbside, to-go and even delivery during this stay at home order. A good idea too for this is to order from a local restaurant and support small businesses who are struggling during this time. Order your favorite food and have a little quality time together.

Spa Night

A spa day or night may be my personal favorite. Find some of your favorite skincare, masks, massage oils or pedicure tools you have in your bathroom and have a little spa night/day at home. There is no doubt that these are very stressful times, so who doesn’t need some spa time right now? You can set up the spa feel too with candles and essential oils. Pamper yourself and each other at home and get some much needed r + r.

Movie Night

A total classic, but a winner in my book. Decide on a Netflix movie or HBO film and pop some popcorn and get out the candy. This is a simple one, but you can totally make it fun. This is also a great option for those at home with kiddos. After the kids go to bed you can have a little movie night with your love and just enjoy each other’s company with popcorn and candy. What’s better than that?

Concert at Home

What’s more fun than a concert? Nothing, but with having to stay home right now and concerts being cancelled that isn’t really an option. But I have a solution for all you concert goers! Have a concert at home! A ton of artists on Youtube have videos of their whole sets recorded from start to finish. Play that on your smarttv and enjoy a couple beverages together from the comfort of your own couch. It is all the fun of a concert without the annoying people singing off key right next to you. Lol.

Wine and Cheese

Are you really missing a fancy night out? Well then have your own wine and cheese tasting date at home! You can also get dressed up for this date night in and make it feel like a fancy date at home. Also, with the weather being so nice you could enjoy your wine and cheese from your back porch and watch the sunset go down. So romantic!!

Picnic in Your Own Backyard

Again, with the weather finally being nice why not enjoy some outside time? You can pack a little picnic, some wine or sparkling water and throw a blanket out in your own backyard and enjoy a little date together. This one is a great idea because you get to be outside, soak in some vitamin D and have a little date together.

I hope you enjoyed these fun at home date ideas. I cannot wait for all of this to be over and to be able to go on real dates with our significant others. In the meantime, we can try our best to have fun , still have dates and try to make the best out of this situation. Turn your phone off, shut off the news and just try to enjoy each others company.
